Condor Carpets uses the processed polymer SoronaŽ from DuPont in its new Greenline collection. SoronaŽ consists of 100% PTT polymer of which 37% is extracted from corn sugar.
During the production of SoronaŽ 30% less energy is required and the pollution emitted is 63% less compared to polyamide.
Qualities within the Greenline collection are distinguished by their durability, resilience and stain resistance.
The actual production method of the Greenline collection is similar to other types of tufted carpet.
After DuPont started in 2000 with the production of SoronaŽ, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) granted the polymer the trademark Triexta in March of 2009. SoronaŽ is now officially recognized along side other polymer names such as Polyamide and Polypropylene.
Condor Carpets is planning to introduce three exciting new qualities from the Greenline collection this year under the names of Bromo, Komodo and Everglades.
The Greenline collection will feature prominently at the forthcoming Domotex 2010 Fair in Hannover. The collection can be viewed on the Condor stand in Hall 6 D04.
